FACULTY DEVELOMENT PROGRAM
One of the objectives of DSC is to foster quality education for the children. For the attainment of this objective it offers as faculty development program scheduled every last Friday of the month. The administration and the teachers, believe that this program is a great help for us in updating ourselves on the different learning trends in teaching as influenced by modern technologies and the media which also affect children’s behavior especially in class. This faculty development program was planned and prepared for the teachers to motivate them and increase their creativity and enthusiasm in teaching that may be inspired and renewed by simply taking and mingling with other teachers and trained speakers who have different and fresh ideas and order for this field of work.
The school also communicates with other schools so that if there are seminars, teachers could attend and participate for it is also one aspect that helps in their development as teachers. Through these different activities offered by the school the teachers are given the chance to improve their teaching. If they can fit in the shoes of the children it will be easy for both teachers and pupils to be more comfortable with each other and teaching will not be a problem but rather there will be a good atmosphere and good relationship inside the classroom.
The ultimate test of an effective and excellent teacher is to be able to excellent pupils. Teaching is a vocation wherein it could be insufferable if teacher does not love to teach.
